Hi, I’m Mel Goodman.
I’m a former SaaS sales leader, a mom of two, and the founder of WorkMom.
For over a decade, I built and led high-performing teams inside fast-growing companies. I hired, promoted, and coached leaders. I held vision, set strategy, and helped people make hard decisions when the stakes were high and the path forward wasn’t obvious.
Then, I became a mother.
Like many ambitious women, my life expanded and my priorities shifted. And for the first time, I found myself having to make big decisions about my career.
What I didn’t expect was how hard those decisions became when I was overloaded.
We give high-performing mothers a steadier way to make career decisions when life is full and the stakes are real.
In 2023, I left corporate leadership to focus on a gap I kept seeing: capable women were questioning their careers after motherhood without a clear way to orient themselves or evaluate trade-offs.
By focusing on decision-making under real-world constraint, rather than advice or optimization, WorkMom helps women slow down reactive thinking, name what actually matters in this season, and move forward with confidence they can stand behind.
How WorkMom Helps
The Building Blocks of WorkMom
WorkMom is built around three core pillars:
-
Helping you name what’s actually happening so you can stop internalizing pressure and confusion.
-
Helping you understand what kind of decision you’re facing so you don’t overcorrect or rush clarity.
-
Supporting thoughtful, grounded action without urgency, guilt, or false certainty.
